Who are we?

The Te Au O Tonga cultural group is excited to announce its return after 3 years of inactivity.
The group has origins that descend from the Cook Islands and aims to foster a sense of unity
and shared purpose while promoting our cultural group in preparation for the biannual cultural

Our Community Events

Vaka Te Au O Tonga's Community Events

Our Vaka have been strong believers in actively fostering a sense of unity within our group and our local community. We have been honoured to be apart of many community events that have taken place. Our aim is to continue to provide a space for all to come together to learn our culture, make new friends and discover who they are.

Family Fun Day - a community event that provided a space for local food businesses, dancers and musicians to showcase their talents and skill.

Our showcase team performing for the 60th Holy Communion Celebration for Whaiora Marae in Otara Auckland.

Meitaki Ma'ata to the Ormiston Warehouse in Auckland for sponsoring our Vaka. Here is 4 of our beautiful dancing maidens visiting the Ormiston store.

We had the honour to showcase the opening of Tua Reka Trust 'Poi Tiare Punanga Reo' based in Otara Auckland at the Rongomai Primary School last August. We wish our tamariki all the best in their future endeavours.

Thank you for having Vaka Te Au O Tonga.
